At Johnston Community College, you can apply and be admitted to a program of study. Two types of programs are offered:
- College Transfer Programs offer courses in the arts and sciences that lead to one of several associate degrees. These courses parallel the courses and requirements during the first two years of study at four-year colleges and universities.
- Occupational/Technical/Career Programs are programs that award a certificate, diploma, or associate in applied science degree.
- Do we have a program that interests you?
- There are a variety of different programs at JCC and we want you to find a program that's right for you. Explore our program options in applied and industrial technology, arts and sciences, business and technical, and health sciences.
- Still not sure about what program you want to enter?
- You've looked at the programs, but you're still unsure. Look over our information sheets on career planning (Career Planning, What Are Your Career Interests?, and Are You Thinking About a Career in the Healthcare Field? - PDF format) and then talk to a counselor in Student Services who will be able to explain your options. Call 919-209-2128 to make an appointment.
- Short on time?
- Course work in many of our programs may be taken online. Find out more about how Distance Learning may be an option for you.
If you just want to brush up on your skills or take a class for fun, see what the Continuing Education Division has to offer.
