The North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges has adopted 8 performance measures for accountability. *** College does not control who sits for this exam. Therefore, it is not included in the Exceptional designation tabulation.

**** 80% of students completing a developmental course in 2005-06 and completing a subsequent college-level course in 2006-07 will have a passing grade for the college level course.

If the college meets all 8 of the measures, it is classified as an "exceptional" institution and is eligible to receive extra money, which is distributed equally to the "exceptional" colleges.
