Instead, by attending this workshop, you will gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to take charge of any situation and handle collection activity in a calm, professional manner to achieve your desired outcome. The “secret” lies in understanding the rules that govern the collection process and your rights under the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act and utilizing them to your advantage. Topics covered include how to stop collectors from contacting you, how to negotiate with your creditors, how to stop collection agencies from reporting derogatory information to the credit bureaus, how to pay off your debts for pennies on the dollar and so much more. Unfortunately, many have very little understanding of how the credit system works. Learn the rules of the “credit game” so you can start playing to win! Topics include how your FICO score is determined, how credit bureaus operate, how to build and maintain positive credit, and how to deal with derogatory items on your report by asserting your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and why paying off old collections will NOT improve your credit. You will leave with strategies you can implement immediately to dramatically improve your credit score in as little as 3 – 6 months!
