Country Music Showcase

The JCC Country Music Showcase, held bimonthly in the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium on the campus of Johnston Community College in Smithfield, North Carolina, provides an opportunity for regional talent to perform with a live band in a professional setting. Auditions are held yearly and attract talented performers from North Carolina and surrounding states.
The College Foundation receives proceeds annually from the Country Music Showcase. These funds are contributed to a fully endowed scholarship of over $100,000, with multiple scholarships awarded annually to deserving students from the endowment.
Emcee Debbie Elam is joined by the Showcase Band, featuring Melanie Horton. Each show features great entertainment provided by our regular cast in addition to the impressive talent of our guest performers.
The themes for each show allow for the performance of an assortment of artists and styles. Whether your tastes lean towards the Southern folk tradition of the Carter Family, the honky-tonk sound of Hank Williams, Patsy Cline's "Nashville Sound," the outlaw style of Willie Nelson, or new country artists like Brooks & Dunn, you're sure to hear one of your favorites at the JCC Country Music Showcase.
Ticket prices are only $8 general admission for the Saturday matinee and $10 reserved seating for Friday and Saturday evening performances.
