Patrol Pistol II (3 day Class)
Patrol Pistol I is a Pre-requisite
The Patrol Pistol II class is designed to provide the Patrol Officer with the skills to survive lethal force confrontations on the street. Officers will be pushed out of their comfort zones and discover their shooting limitations. This class will focus on the skills necessary to make the Patrol Officer an efficient shooter. This class is physically demanding and will cover the following topics:
- Malfunctions
- Reloads
- Weapon Retention
- Target Transition
- Shooting While Moving
- Barricade Shooting
- Support Side Shooting
- Facing Movements
- Shooting from concealment
Equipment List:
- Ammunition: 1200 rounds
- Individual equipment:
- Pistol with 3 magazines
- Belt with holster and magazine pouches
- Weapon cleaning kit (cleaning rod, bore brushes, patches, rags, cleaning & lubricating oil, toothbrush)
- Rain or inclement weather gear
- Eye and Ear protection (clear and shaded lens are recommended)
- Water / Snacks (we’ll take an hour lunch break around noon)
- Hat
- Sun Screen (non-greasy or water resistant recommended)
