Electronic Notarization (4 hrs)

This 4-hour course is designed to instruct existing N.C. Notaries Public in the new legislative procedure required to perform electronic notarial acts. In order to qualify for electronic notarization certification, you must hold a valid commission as an N.C. Notary Public. Please bring your notary number and a valid (government-issued) picture identification to class.

Class participants must be in class at the publicized start time and will NOT be allowed to enter late.

Notary Public (6 hrs)

This-six hour class is required for people who wish to apply through the NC Secretary of State’s Office to become commissioned. A minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 students will be accepted. Participants must present a valid picture ID prior to entering class. Attendees must have a GED or Diploma in order to obtain a Notary commission and be at least 18 years of age. Due to mandated course hour requirements, participants arriving 20 minutes late will not be permitted into the class. Please take notice of the location of the class.REQUIRED TEXTBOOK:
Notary Public Guidebook for North Carolina, Tenth Edition, 2006, ISBN 978-1-56011-480-2 is available at the JCC Bookstore. (Prepaid registration and book are required.)

If your Notary is expired for less than a year, you can go to NC Secretary of State’s Notary website to obtain your reappointment online. http://www.secretary.state.nc.us/notary/
