Orientation Session Dates

Below are the dates for upcoming orientation sessions for new students entering Johnston Community College in fall 2017.

Pre-registration is required through our online registration system.

Please register online by July 3 to reserve a spot. Space is limited.

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Date: Thursday, July 20, 2017
Time: 11:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
Location: Auditorium/Tart Building


Date: Monday, July 24, 2017
Time: 2:00 p.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Things to Know for the Orientation Sessions

  • Sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • During online registration, all open sessions for you will appear as choices. There are no waiting lists for closed sessions.
  • Your session date is not confirmed until you have completed online registration.
  • You will receive an email starting the week of June 19 with a link to an online training module that will teach you about all the technology resources on campus and how to access and navigate these tools. This module must be completed prior to attending the session. Once completed, you will email a copy of your completion certificate to jccnsorientation@johnstoncc.edu.
  • Any person attending the orientation session with the student needs to be a registered guest. You can indicate this information during your online registration in the comment section. The guest program is designed for parents, guardians, adult family members, or spouses/significant others acting in a support capacity. We ask that young children not attend the program, as no child-care services are available.
  • A post-card with registration information will be mailed in early June.
  • More information about session check-in will be mailed to you in early July.
