The back lakeThe main campus of Johnston Community College is located in Johnston County, North Carolina, close to the intersection of Interstate 95 and US Business 70 at 245 College Road in Smithfield. The complex of buildings on the main campus includes facilities for both curriculum and continuing education programs as well as administration and library resources.

The College also offers educational programs at:

The Cleveland Center is located twelve miles west of the main campus, and its facilities include drawing studios, classrooms, computer labs, and administrative offices.  The Workforce Development Center, located on Bestwood Drive in Clayton, is a science-related education and training center.  Howell Woods consists of 2850 acres located fifteen miles southeast of the main campus.  Howell Woods provides a facility for workshops, seminars, and classes.

In addition to the off campus programs at Howell Woods and the Cleveland Center, the College offers both continuing education and curriculum classes and programs at area high schools and industrial sites.

The JCC Arboretum is located a short distance from the college on US 70.
