Library Helpline
In order to
extend the outreach of the Johnston Community College Library, a Library
Helpline is available for all JCC students, faculty, staff, and community
patrons. The Library Helpline is a service designed to answer quick
reference questions. The Library invites its patrons to e-mail questions
to the following address: libraryhelp@johnstoncc.edu
and a professional librarian will respond with the appropriate answer during
normal business hours.
Johnston Community College Library Catalog
The JCC Library Catalog provides access to the library holdings at Johnston Community College and over 44
other community colleges in NC. The automated catalog gives the status
of each item and indicates whether it is checked out or available to borrow. There are also six language buttons which when selected will translate the catalog into the selected language.
Materials that are not available at JCC may be borrowed from other libraries.
You may request a book or a photocopy of an article from a journal or magazine.
If you are requesting a photocopy of a magazine article, it is possible
that there will be a fee for this service. Libraries do not lend
audiovisual materials. Items
borrowed from other institutions may take several days to arrive, so plan
ahead. Books are usually lent for two to three weeks.
Materials that are borrowed will be sent to the JCC Library and will be held under
your name. A college ID with the library barcode is required to borrow books. Come
to the JCC library, call 919-209-2101, or libraryhelp@johnstoncc.edu for more information.
