Media Services offers assistance in the selection and use of audiovisual materials and equipment.  Assistance is also provided in the production of audiovisual materials.

Media Production

The audiovisual department offers media production services to supplement commercially prepared media and/or to produce tailored teaching aids.

In-house media production capabilities include:

• transparencies
• slides
• videotape and audio cassette duplication
• photographs
• videotaping

Faculty members needing assistance with the creation of instructional aids are requested to participate in their planning and production.  Every effort is made to comply with the U.S. Copyright law for print and non-print materials.

Other Services

• operating equipment, such as VCRs, slides, 16mm projectors, data projectors, computers, whiteboards, and the electronics in the North Carolina Information Highway (NCIH) room
• cleaning, maintaining, and repairing audiovisual equipment
• laminating

Scheduling

All requests should be made by calling the JCC Helpdesk at ext. 2121 at least one day in advance.  All other requests will be addressed on a best effort basis.

Hours

Monday - Thursday:  8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Friday:  7:30 am - 5:00 pm

Hours may vary during semester breaks and summer.
