Business/Corporate Partners

Johnston Community College benefits greatly from its relationships with many corporations and businesses in Johnston County and the surrounding region. Businesses and corporations are integral partners with the College in supporting nearly every area of the College’s mission through unrestricted gifts, endowments, scholarships, capital equipment, materials/supplies, sponsorships, and special projects.

Gifts and donations of money, equipment, or other in-kind property and services represent significant transfer of corporate assets. Some firms choose to serve as sponsors for various special and ongoing events and activities of the College/College Foundation, such as the Charity Golf Classic, Performing Arts Concert Series, Country Music Showcase, Arboretum, and Rudolph Howell & Son Environmental Learning Center. Some firms have set up meaningful and targeted gifts to enhance the College’s ability to serve the community and reach out to students and the public. Some have matching gift programs to encourage employee generosity.

Indeed, the creation and construction of the College’s Workforce Development Center represents a truly significant partnership of business and industry with the College for the benefit of students and the economic prosperity of the county and region.

The Johnston Community College Foundation has proudly established the Business/Corporate Partners program to recognize and bring public and community attention to the financial, in-kind, sponsorship and other contributions of businesses and corporations to the advancement of the College and the College Foundation.

The College Foundation has established two levels of Business/Corporate Partners:

• Asset Partners
  • Business firms that contribute $1,250 or more annually as a gift or in in-kind property to the College/College Foundation.
• Sustaining Partners
  • Business firms that contribute $5,000 or more annually as a gift or in in-kind property to the College/College Foundation.

Partner Benefits

As a Business/Corporate Partner, companies receive special benefits including:

1. Invitations to College events including Performing Arts programs, advance mailings, and complimentary tickets;
2. Corporate recognition in various publications of the College;
3. Invitation to an annual special event to recognize all member companies and their contributions; and
4. Invitation to VIP Breakfast with the College President and members of College Foundation.
