JCC Foundation Events

The College Foundation annually hosts several events throughout the county and at the College's main and auxiliary campuses. Johnston Community College Foundation special events serve as a means of raising critically needed funds while educating the community of the programs and services offered at the College and recognizing the achievements of alumni, faculty, staff and students.

Breakfast Before Business

This event is held in February and in partnership with the Johnston County Association of Chambers of Commerce. At this event, the Business Industry Partner of the Year award is given.

Distinguished Citizens Award

This award is given to a citizen of Johnston County who has made a significant contribution to the community at large. Past recipients include Frank Creech, Mokie and Betsy Stancil, Earl C. Helms, Carl Lamm, Julia Elsee, John R. (Doc) Windley, Rudolph Howell, and Evander S. Simpson.

Donor Appreciation and Scholarship Recipient Luncheon

This event usually takes place in September and recognizes our generous donors and scholarship recipients. It is held on campus in the Great Hall of the Tart Building. The faculty and staff of the year awards are also presented at this event.

Neal Lancaster Charity Classic

The flagship event of the Foundation takes place in October of each year. It pairs a Thursday night dinner, reverse raffle, and silent auction with a Friday golf tournament. This event has seen exciting growth and we now offer morning and afternoon tee times.

 Special Events

The Foundation's signature events cannot be done without your help. We welcome the opportunity to discuss sponsorship opportunities with you.

In addition to the Foundation's special events, the College has other areas in need of support.

Performing Arts Series

JCC is unique because of its 1,000 seat Paul A. Johnston Auditorium on campus. On-going events include the Performing Arts Concert Series and Country Music Showcase or "CMS." Corporations, as well as individuals, are encouraged to become sponsors of these performances.
