EKG Monitor Technician*

This 72-hour course prepares individuals with skills to deliver safe, skillful patient care. This course provides students with critical thinking and problem solving techniques to use in everyday practice. Course work includes classroom and simulations practice. Upon satisfactory completion of this entire course, students will take the written exam and skills competency test for interpreting cardiac heart rhythms. Course serves as prerequisite for certification as 12 Lead EKG Technician.

*All applicants must have graduated high school before entering the program.

EKG Certification
You must complete the EKG Monitor Tech class prior to enrolling in the EKG Certification.

Registration/Orientation

You must be present at these times to register and must attend the orientation:
June 27, July 11 and July 23, 2013
Time: 1400 p.m.
JCC Public Service Safety Building (PSSB) Auditorium
Please note: Class space is limited and enrollment is on a first-come first-served basis.

ADMISSION PROCESS:

To register, bring copies of the following to the Registration/Orientation:

• Your completed Registration Form
• A copy of your High School diploma or equivalent*
• Valid Driver's License
• Current HealthCare Provider CPR card**
• Social Security Card

**You must be certified in BLS (CPR) for Healthcare Providers for this class.
