- 4 MB video memory
- 150 MB available on hard drive
- CD-RW drive or CD-RW/DVD combo
- Cable modem or Broadband internet connections
PC Software
- Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP or Vista
- Web Browser: Internet Explorer 7.0 or above
- Productivity: Microsoft Office 2007 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook)
- Documentation: Adobe Reader
- AntiVirus: Symantec Norton Antivirus
An instructor may require you to view a document or work on an activity in which you do not have the necessary plug-ins. Many of them are free and can be downloaded from the following sites:

Network Connection
- Broadband (DSL or cable modem) connection is strongly recommended for wired connection. Large size files may take considerable time to download through dial-up. Therefore, dial-up is NOT recommended for internet courses. If you have America Online (AOL), minimize the AOL browser. Use Internet Explorer to access Blackboard.
