Instructor: Tracy Sparshott
Tracy C. Sparshott is a 24 year veteran Detective with the Montgomery County Police Department in Maryland. Sparshott was last assigned to the Major Narcotic Conspiracy Squad, Where he was a member of the Interdiction Team and a member of the D.E.A. Clandestine Lab Investigation Team for the Washington D.C Metro Area.
Detective Sparshott teaching credentials include, Law Enforcement Academies, throughout the United States.
Members of the U.S. Park Police, Maryland National Capitol Park Police, Sheriff's Departments, U.S. Army C.I.D. U.S. Air Force O.S.I. Marine Corps CID, Regional IRS Investigators Training. The Council of Governments, International Association of Chiefs of Police, Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association, International Narcotic Enforcement Officers Association State Department Sponsored School for Saudi Arabian Police Investigators, State and Local Judges and prosecutors, as well as State Narcotics seminars in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Detective Sparshott has also served as a Honorarium at the University of Maryland, American University and Catholic University in Washington D.C.
Detective Sparshott throughout his career has been Cross Deputized with many Federal Agencies. While working undercover he infiltrated a cocaine organization that extended from Washington D.C. to Florida, staying with members of the organization which resulted in the hand-to-hand purchase of 25 kilos of cocaine, the arrest of 25 defendants and the seizure of extensive assets. He also associated with members of a PCP distribution organization that stretched from California to Connecticut and the Washington D.C. Metro Area; he purchased gallons of PCP before shutting down their operation.
For seven and a half years Detective Sparshott was assigned to the K-9 section and worked a crossed trained Belgian Malanois. He currently lives in North Carolina with his wife and children.
