• NC residents 65 and older are exempt from computer registration fees, but are required to pay technology and book fees.  Technology fees range from $1 to $5.  Books range from $25 to $35.
• Registration fees include all fees required for the course listed except for the book fee which is listed with the course.

Registration Information

Dreamweaver

In this 30 hours course, learn to harness the power of this industry-standard Web design program and master the basics of document creation and how to insert and format text, images, hyperlinks, tables, multimedia files, and other types of Web page content. Explore different page design concepts—with an emphasis on avoiding common layout errors.

Basic Excel

If you work with numbers, you need to know Excel. Discover how to quickly and efficiently set up fully formatted worksheets by creating formulas and functions to make your task work. Charts will also be introduced to emphasize your spreadsheets instead of just numbers.

Computer Introduction XP

This 30 hour course is designed for beginner students or for users with no experience. This course covers all the basic skills and concepts needed to use a computer and establishes a solid foundation for easier learning of other computer applications on any windows operating system.

Internet Surfing and Email

This is an introductory course, covering the fundamentals of computers and the Internet with the opportunity for hands-on practice. Basics of computers including hardware, windows, word processing and spreadsheet will be reviewed. Information you need to research a subject, to buy and sell, and to keep your operating software up to date will be discussed.

Exercises will be accomplished to learn how to set up favorites, capture information to the local environment, use search engines, and set up email. Capturing pictures and sending them to others will be demonstrated and practiced.
