There are no fee exemptions allowed for self-supporting courses. The registration fee must be paid by all class participants. Registration fees vary depending upon cost of the course and minimum enrollment of students. No refunds are permitted for withdrawal from self-supporting courses unless the course is canceled by the College. Self-supporting courses are noted by (SS) beside the class title.

Upcoming Art Courses

Explore Your Creativity in Acrylics or Oils (SS*)

All skill levels. Learn to be creative in a supportive atmosphere using acrylics or oils. Beginners will use studio time to learn basic painting techniques in oils or acrylics. Instructor will cover basics on design, color, and composition. Students with some painting experience will have an opportunity to work on independent projects & learn fun new techniques designed to enhance creativity and skill. Students can call the Cleveland Center at 919-989-2128 for materials list. Preregistration is required.

Taking Watercolor Lightly (SS*)

Class will facilitate watercolor painting by instruction and demonstrations that follow a variety of aspects of painting with watercolor allowing for individual pursuit of painting subjects as well as corporate instruction and direction. Class purpose is to encourage and build confidence among the students to explore the full potential of the media through classes devoted mostly to the experience of painting. Instruction and critique of work will be offered at the beginning of each class as well as throughout the class time. Materials Needed: Paints, paper, brushes, pencils, erasers, liquid mask, water container, absorbent cloth, tape and scissors.
