Employability Skills Training

Human Resources Development (HRD) provides skills assessment services, employability skills training, and career development activities for adults who are unemployed or underemployed.  Tuition and fee may be waived (free) for individuals who meet the following criteria:

• unemployed;
• received notice of pending layoff;
• working and eligible for Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (FEIT); or
• working and earn wages at or below two hundred percent (200%) of the federal poverty guidelines.

Basic Computers in the Workplace I

This is a great course for anyone that needs introductory computer skills. It can assist those who need beginning skills to take online placement tests and other online assessments. It is also excellent for job seekers interested in learning some basics for using the computer as a tool in job searching. This course is designed to help students to develop an understanding of computer terms, develop employment related documents, understand the internet and develop email capabilities needed for electronic job search.
