Jeanne Whisnant Named Dean Of Information Technology At Johnston Community College

Jeanne Whisnant has been named Dean of Information Technology at Johnston Community College. She has served as interim dean since July. As Dean of Information Technology, Whisnant supervises the Network Services, Learning Resources Center, Distance Education Division, and the College’s information technology services and activities.

Prior to her arrival at JCC, Whisnant served as dean of information services and technology at Lenoir Community College. She is a native of Spruce Pine, NC and has worked in the Community College system for several years.

Locally, Whisnant is a member of this year’s Leadership Johnston class and serves on the Education Committee and Small Business Committee for the Smithfield-Selma Chamber of Commerce.
