JCC Instructor Publishes Textbook

The book, titled La Claves de la Lengua Espaņola or The (Learning) Keys to the Spanish Language, was published by Thompson Learning Custom Publishing this month. The text is "functional and easy to understand," Ward said. "I wrote this book because I believe that learning a language should be fun. I felt that other teaching tools did not teach the Spanish language from a fundamental perspective," Ward said. Ward, who attended the University of Maryland and the University of Notre Dame of Maryland, spent several years living in Mexico. She currently teaches Spanish and developmental English classes at JCC. She also teaches Spanish to police and emergency workers and community and industry groups in Johnston and surrounding counties. |
