JCC SGA President Completes Leadership Institute February 27, 2002
Nunn-Turner, who is pursuing an associate of arts degree at JCC, was one of 24 students selected to participate in the institute from community college nominees across the state. The SLI is a one-year intensive leadership program designed to offer experiential learning through opportunities for practical application during group and individual projects, workshops, motivational speakers and networking opportunities. It is a collaborative initiative between Karen Yerby, associate director of Student Support Services for the North Carolina Community College System, and Joan McLendon, director of Admissions and Counseling at JCC. Dr. Don Reichard, JCC president, also was honored at the 2001 graduation banquet for his valuable contributions to the SLI. |
