Johnston Community College

The Johnston Community College Foundation held its annual Donor Appreciation Dinner August 8 on the JCC campus. The dinner is held to thank donors for providing scholarships and offers the opportunity for donors and recipients to have dinner together and get to know one another better.

Rudolph "Rudy" Howell presented Sharon Hess the Henry Paul Howell Scholarship. The scholarship initiated by Mr. Howell, is in memory of his father, the late H. P. Howell.
	Mokie (far right) and Betsy (far left) Stancil were on hand to present Jennifer Allen the M. W. Stancil Family Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually and was initiated by Mr. Stancil.
Don Hobart (left) and his parents, John and Frankie Hobart were recognized at the dinner. The Hobarts have started a new scholarship fund, The John D. Hobart Scholarship Endowment. John Hobart is the former dean of student services and he currently sits on the Foundation and Trustees boards of the College.
