Johnston Community College Paralegal Club Makes Donation To Howell’s Child Care Center December 17, 2002
Johnston Community College’s Paralegal Club presents gifts to residents of the Howell Centers, Inc. Bear Creek facility. The club recently sold raffle tickets to raise money for a community service Christmas project. Proceeds from the raffle were used to purchase toys, clothes and goodies for the children and young adults. Howell Center’s Bear Creek is a 150-acre campus in LaGrange with capacity for 113 residents. The center provides residential care, habilitation and necessary medical services to children and young adults with developmental disabilities. The Paralegal Technology curriculum prepares individuals to perform routine legal tasks and to assist with substantive legal work under the supervision of an attorney. Graduates will acquire substantive and procedural legal knowledge in the areas of civil litigation, legal research and writing, real estate, family law, wills, estates, trusts and commercial law. For more information about the Paralegal program at JCC, contact Paralegal Instructor and Club Advisor Jackie Howell at 209-2062.
