Brinchek Receives Johnston Community College Outstanding Staff of the Year Award

The staff of Johnston Community College has selected Sandra "Sandy" Brinchek as the recipient of the 2002 Outstanding Staff of the Year Award. Brinchek (pictured left in photo with Lannetta Lockhart, chair of JCC’s Outstanding Staff Award Committee) is the Purchasing Technician for JCC and has been with the college since January of 2001. She is an alumna of JCC where she received a degree in Advertising and Graphic Design.

The Outstanding Staff Award is given to a staff person who is voted for by his peers. Nine other staff members competed for this award along with Brinchek. The Outstanding Staff Award is voted on during each of the four quarters. At the end of the year, an Annual Outstanding Staff Award recipient is selected from the top three places chosen each quarter throughout the year.

Brinchek is a native of Princeton and resides in Kenly with her husband, Jeff. She received an acrylic award, gift certificates from Wal-Mart and Ruby Tuesday, and a special parking spot for her award.
