Johnston Community College Graduates Fourth Class in BioWork August 20, 2002 Johnston Community College graduated its fourth class in the BioWork program on Monday, August 12. The students successfully completed the128 course hours for the certificate program. BioWork is an introductory course bringing together the basics of manufacturing technology and the fundamentals of science. The coursework prepares students to enter employment in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and chemical manufacturing. The biotechnology laboratory opened in April on Johnston Community College's Cleveland Center and the program is offered through JCC's Continuing Education department.
