Artwork of JCC Students Included in System Exhibit

The artwork of two Johnston Community College students will be on display during the 2002 Art Exhibition of the North Carolina Community College System.

April Nolan, of Garner, a second-year JCC advertising and graphic design student, and Kelly Hughes, of Mount Olive, a 1997 graduate of JCC who has returned to pursue a certificate in photography at the college, were chosen to participate in the exhibition.

Nolan’s submission is a black and white photograph titled "Serenity." Hughes will have two works on display—the sculpture "Childhood Memories" and a computer-generated poster titled "Inside the 200," which she created as a project for a JCC design class.

The exhibition will be on display at the community college systems office located in the Caswell Building, 200 W. Jones St., in Raleigh. The participating artists will be honored at a reception March 14.
