Johnston Community College Ambassadors Are "Heroes of the Heart" May 13, 2002 Johnston Community College Ambassadors spent Friday evening helping at the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) at Duke University Medical Center. Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are an extension of the Ronald McDonald House program, providing a haven within the hospital for the families of children undergoing treatment at the medical center. The Family Room provides some of the comforts of home and is designed to help alleviate the anxiety and frustration of the hospital environment. The students helped cook dinner for the families who are currently residing in the RMH. Participants were Cari Johnson of Four Oaks, Steven Langston of Newton Grove, Jim Daniels of Smithfield, and Lindsay Thornton of Meadow. Ambassadors adviser, Misty Tart, accompanied the group.
