Fresenius Kabi Named JCC Industry Partner of the Year

Johnston Community College named the Clayton division of Fresenius Kabi JCC's 2001-2002 Industry Partner of the Year. Fresenius Kabi is one of Europe's leaders in the field of nutrition and infusion therapy. The company, with locations throughout the world, offers a unique and comprehensive range of products and responsive services.

Fresenius Kabi was selected for the instrumental role it played during the development of Johnston Community College's BioWork program. The Clayton pharmaceutical company donated space, labs, and materials to assist with the start-up of the program.

The BioWork program is an introductory course bringing together the basics of manufacturing technology and the fundamentals of science. The coursework prepares students to enter employment in the fields of biotechnology, pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing.
