About Coach Shatia Gidrey
Shatia Gidrey enters her second season as the assistant volleyball coach at JCC. She is currently completing her bachelor's degree at Fayetteville State University where she spent most of her collegiate playing career. Gidrey was a standout for the broncos, earning all conference honors in 07' (utility) & 08' (right side). The Broncos also won the 2007 CIAA championship and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA playoffs that year. Prior to playing at FSU, Gidrey played at PCC. She played volleyball for one season and softball for two seasons. Gidrey enjoys both sports and is also the Head Softball Coach at E.E. Smith High School in Fayetteville.
