New Dual Enrollment Program to Create Affordable Pathway to a Teaching Degree

Representatives from JCC, Johnston County Public Schools, and NC State College of Education sign a memorandum of understanding for the Associate in Science (Teacher Education Concentration) degree programJohnston County Public Schools, Johnston Community College and the NC State College of Education are establishing a dual enrollment program and piloting an Associate in Science (Teacher Education Concentration) degree to create an affordable pathway to earn a teaching degree and to supply highly-qualified teachers for Johnston County.

ECU partners with community colleges to improve transfer student access, success

East Carolina University and 14 community colleges in the surrounding region have signed a co-admission agreement designed to improve transfer student access and success through a collaborative degree completion program.

Students will apply to a participating community college and ECU simultaneously and commit to maintaining full-time status. Upon completing an associate degree, they will seamlessly transition into degree-completion programs at ECU.
