Program Description:

This program is designed for students interested in a specific area of engineering such as mechanical, electrical, computer, civil, or aerospace. 

Program Outcomes:

Students will complete their first two years of engineering course work at Johnston Community College and the apply for transfer to North Carolina State University in Raleigh to complete the engineering degree.  Because of the partnership with NCSU, sophomore level engineering courses delivered from the Raleigh campus using interactive video may be received while still attending JCC.  In many fields of engineering, a pre-engineering student can transfer to NCSU ready to begin junior level engineering courses.

Occupational Outlook:

Graduates completing this part of the program will have demonstrated the ability to achieve academic success at the baccalaureate level.
