does not satisfy the developmental reading prerequisite for ENG 111 or ENG

| This course introduces effective reading and inferential
thinking skills in preparation for RED 090. Emphasis is placed on
vocabulary, comprehension, and reading strategies. Upon completion,
students should be able to determine main ideas and supporting details,
recognize basic patterns of organization, draw conclusions, and understand
vocabulary in context. This course does not satisfy the developmental
reading prerequisite for ENG 111 or ENG 111a. |

should be able to comprehend and analyze college-level reading material.
