computed tomography. Emphasis is placed on the data acquisition
components, tissue attenuation conversions, image manipulation, and
factors controlling image resolution. Upon completion, students should be
able to understand the physics and instrumentation used in computed
tomography. |

| This course is designed to cover specialized patient care,
cross-sectional anatomy, contrast media, and scanning procedures in
computed tomography. Emphasis is placed on patient assessment and
monitoring, contrast agents' use, radiation safety, methods of data
acquisition, and identification of cross-sectional anatomy. Upon
completion, students should be able to integrate all facets of the imaging
procedures in computed tomography. |

responsibilities within the computed tomography clinical environment. |
