American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Forty ARRT staff members, six of whom are Registered Technologists, are employed at ARRT headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota. Staff handles approximately 4,000 calls per week received from technologists, examination applicants, employers, and government officials. The ARRTs telephone number is 651-687-0048. Telephone hours are 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. central time. Departmental meetings are regularly scheduled on Thursday afternoons at 3:30 p.m.; therefore, staff are not available after that time. An automated telephone system will direct you to the desired department.

American Society Of Radiologic Technologists, Inc. (ASRT, INC.)

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists, Inc. is a national organization that offers membership to all technologists. Student members receive the professional publications for an annual fee of $40.00. A membership application may be obtained from the Program Director's office.

International Society For Magnetic Resonance In Medicine (ISMRM)

The International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine is a nonprofit professional association devoted to furthering the development and application of magnetic resonance techniques in medicine and biology. The Society holds annual scientific meetings and sponsors other major educational and scientific workshops.

North Carolina Society Of Radiologic Technologists, Inc. (NCSRT, INC.)

The NCSRT is the unified voice that represents the interests of every certified technologist in the radiation and imaging sciences throughout the state.

The purpose of the NCSRT is to promote and to enhance the professional stature of and the highest practice standards in the radiation and imaging sciences through its services and activities.

Radiological Society Of North America, Inc. (RSNA, INC.)

The purpose of the Radiological Society of North America is to promote and develop the highest standards of radiology and related sciences through education and research. The Society seeks to provide radiologists and allied health scientists with educational programs and materials of the highest quality, and to constantly improve the content and value of these educational activities. The Society seeks to promote research in all aspects of Radiology and related sciences, including basic clinical research in the promotion of quality health care. The Society seeks to foster closer fellowship among all radiologists and greater cooperation among radiologists and members of other branches of medicine and allied healthcare professionals.

The Society’s success in achieving its goals in education and research is due to the high level of professionalism of its members and other colleagues who generously share their scientific knowledge and administrative abilities.

Section For Magnetic Resonance Technologists (SMRT)

The Section for Magnetic Resonance Technologists (SMRT) was founded to provide a forum for education, information, and research in the field of magnetic resonance. The primary objective of the SMRT is to advance the education and training for MRI/S technologists worldwide. The SMRT is committed to promoting the communication and dissemination of information regarding current and emerging technological advances to its members.
