The telecommunicator course is a 40-hour (minimum) course designed to introduce students to the exciting and challenging field of emergency telecommunications. This course covers the roles and responsibilities of emergency telecommunicators, emergency telecommunication technologies, interpersonal communication, and caller management (police, fire and medical).
Students who wish to be certified as professional emergency telecommunicators by NAED must:
ETC certification is valid for two years.
