Introduction to Land Surveying

This 30 hour class will provide classroom instruction and field experience in making accurate measurements, determining levelness or amount of grade, using transits, and reading surveys. Learn to use the tools of the trade prism pole, plumb bob, bipod, tripod, level, and read and hold a level rod. Learn to measure things like pipe size, trees, building, houses and streets. Learn to set up a transit/theodolite, take field notes and basic courthouse and deed research. This class will be suitable for those presently working as surveyor helpers of those wishing to enter the surveying profession. (Prepaid registration is required)

Home Inspection

This course is designed to assist applicants for a NC Home Inspectors License to prepare for the required written examination.

Topics covered include: licensing laws, regulations, professional conduct and ethics, and report preparation; as well as, interior and exterior structures, roof structures; and electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems. NOTE: The North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board requires individuals to meet specific experience and/or education requirements to be approved to take the Home Inspector License examination.
