Commercial Driver's License Course Schedule

Classes will close two days prior to the first class. Preregistration is required for admittance to all classes. Written directions and some maps are available for JCC locations.

Refresher Training for Truck Drivers
Registration Fee - $475; $32.50 drug screen. Prepaid registration is required. No refunds are permitted for withdrawal from self-supporting course unless the course is cancelled by the College. 40 hours
This course is a refresher for former truck drivers wanting to reenter the workforce. The course includes review of federal regulations required for entry-level drivers, pre-trip inspections, backing maneuvers, and highway driving. Participants must hold current Class A CDL with no restriction for air brakes and a valid DOT medical card. A pre-enrollment drug screen is required as well as a 3-year MVR with no conviction in the past 2 years for DUI, careless and reckless, hit and run, or refusal to take a chemical test.
Course is limited to 4 participants, but must have a minimum of 2 participants. Class is held at the Truck Driver Training Building on the main campus. Instructor is Ron Nichols. Call Della McMillian at 919-209-2045 for more information.
